Second biggest SuperLottoPlus jackpot
The second largest SuperLotoPlus jackpot grew to $141 million in June 23, 2001. This particular SuperLottoPlus jackpot holds the record for the ‘biggest individual win”.

Distribution of Revenue
Like most lotteries, The California State Lottery Act of 1984 was intended to allocate more money to schools without increasing taxes. The lottery was therefore required to provide at least 34% of its revenue to public education, assisting other funds provided by California to do the same. Thereafter, 50% of its revenue gets paid to the public in the form of lottery prizes. All in all, 84% of all funds received gets given back to the public in the form of prizes or funds for public education.
